What is Scramble Golf?

Scramble golf is one of the most common golf tournament formats. Played with a team, each member takes their swing on the first tee shot. Once all members have hit, the team then decides on the best shot and picks up from there for the next round of shots. Every team member will then go from that exact point, continuing this process through the remainder of the round.

This form of golf is described as relaxed, low pressure and of course, fun! The rules within Scramble are modified from tournament to tournament, having no official set of rules. Scramble style is usually used amongst charity or fundraising outings, considering the low stake, casual environment. Scramble style also allows for a quicker play, speeding up the rounds. This golf format is favored for novice golfers or those with high handicaps.

There are no individual scores within Scramble. The final score is the total of every best shot the team had. Of course, the team with the lowest total score wins!
